America: The Civil War, Ukraine, Stalin, and the unraveling of Western Democracy
Hi folks. In America, and indeed, in Europe and throughout the entire world, the 2024 presidential election in America is the one of the main points of conversation among national leaders, corporate CEO’s and just average citizens who are wondering what their life might look like in 2025 if Donald Trump wins in November. I know I am, and I’m very afraid of what my life and the lives of those around me might look like on January 20, 2025 if Donald Trump takes the oath of office at noon on that day. Because if Trump becomes President of the United States once again, then all bets are off for our democracy here in the United States, as well as for the new, struggling democracy in Ukraine, and for the very future of democracy in Europe and beyond. Yes, it’s that serious, and if you think I am exaggerating or sensationalizing this topic solely for the sake of keeping you reading beyond the paywall, then you truly are asleep, and I apologize for disturbing you from your slumber.
Actually, I don’t.
So you can go back to sleep now.
For everyone else, please keep reading.
