The danger of a second Trump presidency to America and the entire Western world

I decided that the danger posed by another Trump presidency has to be on the top of my list of existential dangers for Western democracies, hence it is the topic for my first podcast of the new year. Why? Because if Donald Trump regains the White House in January 2025 either through legitimately winning the election this November, or through his violent MAGA cult seizing it by force if he loses (a real possibility), American democracy will end almost immediately, aid for Ukraine will be terminated and the U.S. will leave NATO. The fall of American democracy may well be followed (like dominos) by other Western democracies, especially in some Kremlin-friendly European countries that are already in danger of far right-wing parties taking control of the government.
