My interview With Maria Tomack, Head of the Crimean Platform within the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea
I am excited to offer my subscribers this important interview with Maria Tomak. Maria was appointed by President Zelensky to head the Crimea Platform, an agency whose responsibilities include: overseeing all activities of daily life within temporarily occupied Crimea, investigations of Russian war crimes (especially the kidnapping of children), the arrests and torture of political prisoners (mainly Tartars) and much more. From their website:
The Crimea Platform is an international consultation and coordination format initiated by Ukraine. The Platform aims to increase the effectiveness of international response to the ongoing occupation of Crimea and mounting security threats, respond to growing security threats, increase international pressure on the Kremlin, prevent further human rights violations and protect victims of the occupation regime, and achieve the main goal –
de-occupation of Crimea and its peaceful return to Ukraine.
As stated above, one of the main responsibilities of the Crimea Platform will be the reintegration of Crimea into the rest of Ukraine after the war is won by Ukraine and all Russian forces have left. Maria represents Ukraine and the Crimea Platform at numerous international forums and conferences on Crimea and the future rebuilding of Ukraine. Please sit back and watch this very informative interview about the current and future status of one of the world’s most important hotspots, Crimea.
