Trump is exploiting tragedy to seize more dictatorial power

The murder of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk last week in Utah has unleashed a torrent of threats of retaliation against “organized radical left-wing terrorists” by the Trump administration. Even though all the evidence thus far obtained by law enforcement points to a lone gunman with at best, a confused political ideology, MAGA is using this incident to lash out against all media critics of Trump and silence them once and for all, regardless of the legality or ethical considerations of their actions. Our democracy truly hangs in the balance.
