Shortly after the attempted coup on January 6, 2021 at the United States Capitol that ended an almost 250 year history of our peaceful transition of power, President Joe Biden made a speech in which he said that those miscreants and traitors who stormed the center of our democracy, violently assaulted scores of police officers, left five people dead and desperately hunted for elected officials so they could be hanged and otherwise executed, were not real Americans, that “we are better than this.” He tried to make the case that the people who committed those horrific acts were not representative of “real America.” He tried to say that they were not average Americans, not our next door neighbors, our friends, co-workers or family members.

I beg to differ Mr. President.
